<aside> 🧭

This is the experimentation onboarding for product teams. It is designed so that any new joiner, regardless of role, can become autonomous in experimentation within a single afternoon.

Pick your role below, assess your experience level, and follow the path. No hand-holding required.

How it works

The onboarding has two layers:

Foundation (all roles, ~60 min). Five modules that every experimenter needs. The shared vocabulary, the process, the frameworks. Whether you are a PM, a data scientist, or a developer, you start here.

Role track (your specialization, 45-80 min). Deep dives specific to your craft. PMs learn experiment design and decision-making. Data scientists go deep on statistics and advanced methods. Developers learn implementation patterns and monitoring.

Choose your path

Step 1: Select your role

Role Foundation Track Total time
Product Manager / Product Owner 5 modules (~60 min) 4 modules (~55 min) ~2 hours
Data Scientist / Analyst 5 modules (~60 min) 6 modules (~110 min) ~3 hours
Developer / Engineer 5 modules (~60 min) 3 modules (~40 min) ~1.5 hours

Step 2: Assess your experience

Experience level Where to start
I have never run an experiment Start at F1 (beginning of Foundation)
I have run experiments but I am new here Start at F3 (skip F1 and F2, learn our specific frameworks)
I have run experiments here, want to go deeper Skip Foundation, go directly to your Role Track

📘 Foundation (all roles, ~60 min)

F1. Why we experiment

F2. The experimentation process

F3. Hypotheses and metrics

F4. Reading experiment results

F5. Documenting experiments and feeding the learning system

👤 Product Manager Track (~55 min)

PM1. Designing your experiment

PM2. Success and guardrail metrics
